Year 9 Parents Evening

Dear Parent/Guardian
I would like to invite you to the Year 9 Parents' Evening on Thursday 28th January 2010 from 4.30. As usual all the teachers will be in the Main Hall and Dining Room and there will be refreshments.
All pupils have been given a blank timetable with this and over the next couple of weeks your son/daughter should take this to lessons and make appointments with their subject teachers. Please make sure your child knows when you will be coming during the evening. Each appointment is for five minutes and whilst we try to keep to time, as you can imagine it is not always easy. If you feel you need a longer discussion, please contact me and I will arrange it separately.
Mr Hemming Headteacher, and Mrs McGurrin Assistant Headteacher will also be available to talk with you throughout the evening. A member from the Connexions Team will also be there and as your child will be making option choices for Years 10 and 11 with you in a couple of months you may want to talk to her about the effect of option choices on future courses.
As you know by now parking can be a problem on these evenings and you might find it easier to park outside the school. If you come into the school, can I ask you to drive in through the front entrance in Lowe Hill Road and drive out down the bus lane to Pyms Road.
Could you please return the reply slip stating whether or not you are able to come and I look forward to chatting with as many of you as possible.
